Sardinia, Italy

I made a quick stop in Sardinia since I had to travel from Barcelona over to Rome to catch my flight to Athens where I would be meeting up with more friends from the US. Lucky me, a friend I knew from California was there vacationing with her family.
Sardinia is beautiful. I was only able to visit a few beaches on the North East coast since my time there was  limited.
I have traveled all over Italy and found that in Sardinia, if you don’t speak the language, it will be difficult. They are old school and make zero attempts at speaking English. Even with the dime store Italian that I know, I was having a difficult time communicating with the locals.
The train ride from the port I arrived into on the West coast over to the East coast was beautiful. The train was rickety with all of the windows open due to no air conditioning. The curtains, straight from the 70’s, blew wistfully around the cabin. It was romantic in a Little House on the Prairie sense.
